Advancing understanding, prevention and treatment of obesity
Through awareness, education and collaboration within FIU and with partners across Florida, the FIU Obesity Research Workgroup develops innovative, high-impact research that improves health outcomes and reduces disparities related to obesity.
Our vision is to establish FIU as a recognized leader in multidisciplinary obesity research and education through the creation of an Obesity Research Center that promotes cutting-edge translational science, cultivates statewide collaborations and contributes to sustainable solutions for obesity and its related health challenges.
